Moments That Change Everything
A Letter About Living Fully
Dear Reader,
oday, I want to talk about the last night we met — the last kiss, the last time we laughed together. I don’t know where the idea came from that we will live forever, or that those we love will too.
For a long time, I didn’t realize how short life truly is. But it’s not just short — it’s unpredictable. You can share a cup of coffee with a friend today, and minutes later, they might be gone. You can argue with your parents about a party you’re not allowed to attend, sneak out anyway, and during the party, receive a call that changes everything.
The message is simple: life is too short to make it small.
I will repeat it so you can read it again: life is too short to make it small.
Live it fully — but choose your words and actions wisely. Don’t let anger speak louder than love. Your parents are still learning how to be parents, just as you’re learning how to be yourself. Your brothers and sisters are still learning how to share their worlds with you too.
The world often doesn’t make sense — and that might be its most fascinating trait. The smartest person today might not be the richest tomorrow. The strongest might not be the bravest when courage is truly needed. The one who mocks you today could one day work for you. Life has a strange, poetic sense of justice — and that’s what makes it beautifully unpredictable.
So, do your best work. Be grateful. Speak kindly. And above all — simply, live.
